Our Story

Kandee St. John and Laura Dylla, co-owners
established Heavenly Touch Massage Therapy in La
Vernia, Tx , June 15, 2002. They have been going
strong ever since, serving not only the local community,
but all of Wilson County and surrounding areas of
Bexar, Guadalupe, Karnes and Comal.

Kandee is native to Adkins, Tx. and is a 1994 graduate
of Mind Body Institute in San Antonio. Always
intrested in the health benefits of massage, she began
her career working along side of a medical doctor who
referred all the stress related patients to her. She
would travel the San Antonio area to treat her clients
in their homes. She was also working at a Wellness
Center in the downtown area providing therapy for
tourist and conventioneers. Working her way up to
managing the business and 12 - 14 massage therapist,
she loved the field. Always being an entrepreneur,
Kandee wanted her own place. She met Laura who had
the same desire. They lived in the same area and wanted
to bring Massage Therapy to their community.

Laura, born and raised in Karnes County , moved to
Wilson County on her marriage to Paul.   She is mother
to 5 children, Julie, Philip, Greg, William and Charles,
all of whom graduated from LaVernia. She has six
grandchildren. After a career as a stay-at-home mother
and then school bus driver for LVISD, in 2000, she
attended massage school at Therapeutic Body
Concepts in San Antonio, graduating in 2001. Never
having had a real massage before the first day of
school, Laura knew she had found a career to really
enjoy. The personality traits of catalyst and helper fit
very well with owning a massage therapy business.
Laura's massage career began at Body Concepts.
When the chance came, Laura asked Kandee to join her
forming Heavenly Touch Massage Therapy in June,
2002.   Massage offers many chances to meet new
people. Giving and receiving massage helps to relax the
mind by focusing on the needs of the people who seek
massage.

Heavenly Touch opened it's doors with a mission to
provide a service that adds quality to life and is
affordable to everyone.

In recent years, therapeutic massage has become more
popular than ever before. Once, this age old art was
considered to be a luxury and was only available to
those with disposable income and leisure time to spare.
At present, in this new age of health and fitness, many
more people are recognizing the benefits of massage to
enhance their lifestyles.

As the awareness of massage benefits grows
constantly, there are many people not only looking to
enjoy those benefits, but provide those benefits. The
massage therapy profession and the public's use of
massage continue to grow rapidly. There are over
300,000 massage therapists in the United States
currently, and a reported 20% of all Americans receive
at least one massage per year.
